CARNAGE Roblox Review

CARNAGE is a Roblox social-deduction killing game by NECR0POLlS, live since 3 March 2025, still stamped ALPHA, still updating about every one to two weeks. It is inspired by Spike Chunsoft’s Danganronpa. It is not a Steam shooter, not Carnage Wars, and not a tycoon with the same word in the title. What actually works

The loop is honest. Everyone starts Spotless. You become Blackened only when you kill. There is no random mafia card. Furniture hides weapons. Food hides C9. A body starts investigation, then a Trial with Truth Bullets, majority vote, and a brutal wrong-vote tax: if the killer walks, they execute someone who voted incorrectly. That rule creates better arguments than most Roblox social games bother to build.

Ultimates give the loop a second language. Nurse and Programmer fight over files. Chemist stares at snacks. Debater gets extra bullets. Cosplayer steals a face. Survivor is a real unlock behind Ultimate ??? and Area 6, not a Robux skip. The Ultimates hub is the roster. The wheel is the joke: you will get Cook when you wanted Nurse, and you still have to play.

The shop arrived later and finally gives coins and tickets a sink: boosters, podiums, emotes on G (including in Trial). That economy is shallow on purpose. It does not replace the killing game. It just makes returning lobbies feel like an account instead of a throwaway server.

Presentation jumped in the Focus Mode / map-refresh era: denser blood, kill cutscenes for Bat and Gloves, intermission art, “you got it wrong” and “you got it right” stings, C4 multi-kills returning. It still looks like ALPHA. It no longer looks like a prototype hallway.

What still hurts

Servers empty. People leave before executions. UI sticks. Investigation timers and hunger numbers move between patches. There is no public Trello. Codes die without a blog post. Some creator lists invent hashes; this wiki will not. The official Roblox card still says treat it fairly because it is nowhere near finished. That sentence is accurate.

The learning cliff is real. Hold-to-report, handbook M, Trial Q/E/R, drag plus S — new players tap once and think the game is broken. Controls exists because the experience description is a wall. If you hate reading, you will hate Trial.

Lobbies can be cruel in a way Danganronpa fans expect and Roblox kids may not. Motives can tell you to kill or die, or to kill or let a friend die. That is the genre. It is not Among Us with swords.

Who should play

Play if you like talking, lying, and inspecting a room for two minutes. Play if you want a Danganronpa-shaped toy that still changes every couple of weeks. Play with friends who will not leave at the first body.

Skip if you want a polished ranked ladder, a finished lore bible, or a PvE campaign. Skip if you only came for scripts; Scripts is a risk page, not a download. Skip if you need a Trello. There isn’t one.

Verdict

CARNAGE is the best Roblox attempt at a class-trial killing game we have sat in this year, with the caveat that ALPHA means your favorite bind might move next Tuesday. Start on getting started, redeem whatever still works on codes, then lose one Trial on purpose so the next one makes sense. If the loop clicks, you will not need this review. You will need investigation and a quieter weapon.
